About

Dr. Christine Hwang has training as a primary care provider and is especially passionate about helping treat women’s health, fertility, and gastrointestinal issues.  She has experience working with a wide range of health concerns including: rheumatologic and autoimmune disorders, endocrine imbalances, dermatological issues, stress, and sleep difficulties.

Dr. Christine received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine (ND), Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MSAOM) from Bastyr University in Seattle, and completed the Postbaccalaureate Prehealth Program at Rutgers University.

Dr. Christine has advanced training in naturopathic therapies for women's health and gynecology from Bastyr University and has completed one of the most comprehensive courses offered in the country to treat female and male infertility using Chinese medicine from the Jade Institute in Seattle.

Prior to medical school, Dr. Christine received her BFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design.  In the years that followed, family members began to experience health difficulties - this re-ignited her childhood interest in medicine.  She now incorporates her training in art with her patient care by coming up with novel, highly individualized solutions for both simple and complex cases.

Dr. Christine is licensed to practice acupuncture in New York State and holds a license as a naturopathic physician in Washington State.  She is an active professional member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) and the New York Association of Naturopathic Physicians (NYANP).

She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, son, daughter, and dog.
